Elisha Saunders, who died at Alden, N. Y., Oct. 27, 1888, was the son of Clark and Lydia White Saunders, both deceased, and was born in Westerly, R.I., Aug. 19, 1811; he was, therefore, at the time of his death, 77 years, 2 months and 8 days old. His parents came to Darien, N. Y., in 1812, when the country was new. His life has been spent in Darien and Alden.
