- PRICE, JOHN. Lower Chichester. December 12, 1770. December 13, 1773. Provides for wife Elizabeth. To daughter Ann wife of Robert Eyre use of my plantation in Brandywine Hundred containing about 100 acres during life of her husband and then to her and her heirs. To son Samuel plantation whereon I now live in Chichester consisting of several contiguous tracts containing in the whole about 100 acres with grist and saw mills, also plantation adj. bought of Jno. Pierce containing about 80 acres. To daughter Hannah Price £900. To daughter Sarah Price £900 at 21 or marriage. To son John all that tract of land in Lower Chichester purchased of Thomas Clayton containing 32 3/4 acres and lot of woodland containing 2 acres, also messuage and lot in Chichester at wife's decease, also £900 at 21. Know by all Men by these Presents, that we John Shaw, Elisha Price Esqr. and William Kerlin all of the County of Chester in the State of Pennsylvania are held and firmly bound unto John Beaton Register for the Probate of Wills, and granting Letters of Administration, in and for the County of Chester in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the Sum of Four Thousand Pounds, to be paid by the said Register his successor or his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns: To the which Payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves jointly and severally for and in the Whole, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, firmly by these Presents. - Vol. 2 - Savage vs. Eyre--O. S. 206; N. S. r3-Answer filed 1804, says about 40 years ago Robert Lyre [Eyre] married Ann Price, daughter of John Price, who lived in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and about eleven years thereafter removed to Virginia. On 12th September, 1770, John Price made his will. Elisha and Samuel Price were brother and uncle of Ann. Robert had (at least) two children, John and Hanna; also sons, Robert and Adam. Will of John Price of Lower Chichester, Chester County, Pennsylvania: 'Wife Elizabeth; daughter Ann, wife of Robert Eyre; son Samuel; daughter Hannah Price; daughter Sarah Price, infant; son John, infant; daughter Elizabeth; sister Sarah Price. Dated 12th December, 1770. Recorded in West Chester. Deed dated 7th April, 1796 between Robert Eyre of Norbon Parish, Berkeley County, yeoman, to Elisha Price of Chester Borough, County of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Samuel Price of Lower Chichester, Pennsylvania, and Ann Eyre, wife of Robert, and Robert Eyre, Jr. 250 acres in Berkeley [corrected]. Deed dated 18th April, 1796, by Robert Eyre to William Boyd, 277 acres on Mill Creek in Berkeley, conveyed by grantee to grantor on same date. Proved in Berkeley 25th April, 1796. Deed dated 23d June, 1800, by Richard Ridgway, Robert Eyre and Ann and James Stephenson. Mortgage conveys part of 1,000 acres patented to Morgan Morgan 12th November, 1735?, and conveyed by Morgan [corrected] to Zackwell Morgan in 1761, and to Robert Rutherford in 1768, to James Seaton in 1769, to Robert Eyre in 1777. Recorded in Berkeley 24th June, 1800. Deed 18th September, 1801, by Robert Eyre, Sr., to Adam Eyre, part of 742 acres patented by Fairfax to James Crumbley, Ist February, 1754 [corrected], conveyed by Henry and William Crumbley, sons of James, to Robert Rutherford, 25th October, 1766 [corrected]; by him to Richard Colvert, 8th February, 1768; by him to Wm. Boyd, deceased, 1st August, 1769, and which Wm. Boyd holds as heir to Wm. Boyd, deceased; by him to Robert Eyre, 18th April, 1796 [corrected], on Mill Creek, in Berkeley County. Recorded in Berkeley [corrected] 26th April, 1802. Deed 28th September, 1801, by Robert Eyre, Sr., to Robert Eyre, Jr., part of 1,000 acres above. Recorded in Berkeley 26th April, 1802. Thomas Reese deposes in Berkeley County, 1806, he lived in Berkeley upwards of 40 years. Deed 7th April, 1796 [corrected], by Robert Eyre to Elisha Price and Samuel Price of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and Ann Eyre.
