    "A Boston newspaper, of [Wednesday] Feb. 15, 1775, says, 'On Monday last [Feb. 13, 1775], died, in this town, in the sixty-sixth year of his age [age 65, so born 1710], Elisha Jones Esq., late of Weston, for many years a magistrate, Col of a Regiment of Militia, and member of the General Assembly. In the many departments in which he acted, he eminently showed the man of principle, virtue,' &c. He married, Jan. 24, 1733-4, Mary Allen, and occupied his father's homestead."
