Elizabeth Ridder of Ackley, IA, passed away on October 9, 1988 at the Presbyterian Home in Ackley. She reached the age of 79 years, 3 months, 18days. She was born on June 20, 1909, to George and Anna Hulzebus. On February 20, 1929, she was united in marriage to Henry C. Ridder. This union was blessed by one son and four daughters. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Jenna) Boorom of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Tack of Rib Lake, Wisconsin., and Mrs. James (Linda) Woodley of Ackley; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dan (Hermina) Ridder Schwickerath of Aplington; six grandchildren, Terry Ridder, Brent Ridder, Charisa Scott, Jill Ridder, Chad Tack and Cody Tack; four great grandchildren, Mark and Missy Ridder, Michael and Heather Scott; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Hovenga of Dumont and Rena DeVries of New Hartford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Chris, a daughter Angeline, and four sisters, Effie Hulzebus, Johanna Siebenga, Divinie DeVries and Martha Nevenhoven. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 12, 1988, at the First Reformed Church, Aplington, with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Aplington.
