Parents of Thomas: Hugh & Hester (Farmer) Bodkin.

Hugh Bodkin, a son of Richard and Elizabeth Botkin, was born in Augusta County VA in 1736 and died in 1801 in Knox County TN. He married Hester Farmer. Hester was born in Augusta County VA in 1740 and died in Knox County TN.

On March 21, 1780, Hugh was allowed 50 acres for his service in 1758 in Capt Preston's Company of rangers. Hugh Botkin in Revolutionary War in Capt. Hulls Company of Augusta County militia.

Hugh will is dated September 1801 and is on file in Knox County, TN.
