1. Excerpt from undated letter from Elinor Ross Brook to Niece Olivia Brook Revits:

" I was 6 years old when my father died. My mother raised 5 children (under age 15) doing housework and ironing for people. She was uneducated but the best psycholigist ever. Your father loved her cole slaw, therefore, whenever she knew he was visiting she had to make cole slaw for him. She also had an excellent sense of humor.

Everyone spoke well of Mom Ross...even Aunt Jule and Aunt Nora. Especially Uncle Joe. They got along very well."

2. Obituary: BROOK, ELINOR R. (Nee Ross) died suddenly on October 21, 2005, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Joseph C. who predeceased her on October 8, 2005. Devoted mother of Joseph R. Brook of Hammonton and Steven A., Sr. and wife Jane Brook of Woodbury. Dear sister of Beatrice Burk of Woodbury. Loving grandmother of Steven A., Jr. and Janice Brook, Melanie D. and Dan Cornelius, Keith M. and Anne Brook, Jeffrey D. and Loren Brook, James J. Brook, Blayne R. Brook and Michael Midili. Proud great grandmother of Hailey, Zachary, Katie, Madelyn, and Hannah. Elinor was a receptionist for merchants Wine & Liquor, Pennsauken, SS PennockCo. (flower distributor) of Pennsauken, and Francis V. Wood & Sons Ins. Agency of Haddon Heights. Elinor was a devoted wife and mother and a friend to all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services Wed. 11 am at DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, 171 Delaware St., Woodbury, where her viewing will be held on Tues. eve. 7 to 9 pm and Wed. morn 10 to 11 am at the Funeral Home. Burial Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elinor's memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 would be appreciated by the family.
