    E. Jayne Spurling, 70, of South Vista Boulevard died at 1:18 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

    Mrs. Spurling retired in 1999 from Reliance Electric, where she was an engineering secretary for 36 years.Sje was a member of First United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Steve Kaetzel and Lisa Marchal officiating. Calling will befrom 4 to 8 p.m.Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

    Born in July 3, 1934, in Muncie, Mrs. Spurling was the daughter of Earl M. and Iva T. Strosnider Fording. She married Dwight A. Spurling Nov. 20, 1954.

    Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Spurling of Evansville; a daughter, Becky Arterburn of Columbus; a brother, Jim Clark, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sisters, Patti Wright of Bloomington; Bonnie Beight of Brownsburg; Carol McCullough and Barb Hepler, both of Port Charlotte; and grandchildren, Shelley and Michael Spurling and Ellie and Emily Arterburn.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Lenora Fording.
