E.W. Saffell, 61, moved with his family to Swensondale near Caddo. He attended Swensondale Schools and graduated from Caddo High School in 1936.
He married Ann Ola Bradford at Necessity in 5 October 1940.
The couple lived in Breckenridge most of their married life. He was a self-employed contract pumper. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife; four sisters - Sybal Mason, Laverne Kirby, Charlotte Bradford, Dorothy Ramsey.
