[edit] Revolutionary War Pension InformationInformation from “Virginia/West Virginia Genealogical Data from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Records”, Vol. 4, compiled by Patrick G. Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. : Runion, Elijah - born 7/11/1757 in Shenandoah County, Virginia or abt. 1760 in New Jersey; entered service in Shenandoah County, Virginia, where he resided, in Virginia Company; moved to Ohio County, Virginia, then to Harrison County, Virginia, then to Jackson County, Virginia where he applied for Pension in 1833 per County Clerk of Court Benjamin Wright; soldier's Pension application was rejected, less than 6 months of service; Samuel Tanner & Jesse Carpenter made affidavit there then, per witness Lewis Maxwell & County Justice of the Peace Thomas Boggs.
