Richmond Palladium, Richmond, Indiana February 18, 1852 On Thursday last, of Pneumonia, Mr. Elijah Fisher, of this town, in the 70th year of his age. Mr. Fisher was one of the oldest and most respected citizens of the county. D.A.R. Records of the Fishers - Elijah Fisher, Sheriff of Wayne County, Indiana born 1780; died 5 Feb 1852. Buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indiana.

Wayne County, Richmond, Indiana Will Records Book 3 Page 179-180 Elijah Fisher deceased Will Record of the last will and testament of Elijah Fisher deceased. Know all men by these present that I Elijah Fisher of the county of Wayne and state of Indiana being afflicted in body but perfect in mind and memory do make and consitiute this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit First to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of my estate by hereafter named executors. 2nd it is my will that my beloved wife Martha have all my household and kitchen furniture. The ballance of my personal property to be sold by executors and with the money on hand to pay my debts and the balance if any to be given to my wife by my executors. 3rd Wills- that my son Jacob Fisher to have one hundred dollars. I will to my daughter Nancy Jane Esteb five? dollars she having her share heretofore in land. I will to my daughters Pamelia Gentry and Catherine Moore my 40 acres of land in section twenty-nine range fourteen town sixteen to be equally divided betwist them two by them giving their mother one half rent during her life time. I will to my daughter Rueann Harvey the house and lot where I now live No. 40 by her paying Effeann Harveys heirs one hundred dollars a piece. Thomas J. Harvey, Elizabeth _ Harvey and William Harvey. Effeann's three children by Rueyann Harvey. Mother to have one half rent during her life time. I will to my son Elias J. Fisher five dollars he having had his portion in land here to fore. I will to Martha Jane Elmer the house and lot where she now lives in Centerville No. sixty one? on main street. I will to my Grandson John Harvey my daughter Elizabeth's son ten dollars. I will to Elijah R. Harvey Elizabeth Harvey's son the part of lot No. eighty two in Centerville Wayne County, Ind. All which I leave to the sound judgment and discretion of my here after named executors. I also constitute my soninlaws Thomas Gentry and David Moore my executors to this my last will and testament revoking all others by me made this 18th of June 1850.
