Elijah Battye was originally linked to the wrong parents. There are two couples named Joseph and Lydia Battye: one in Holme and the other in Wooldale, both in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Elijah Battye should not be assumed to be Eli Battye whose wife was Elizabeth, not Betty. Eli and Elizabeth were also from Wooldale.
