!Elias and Maria were first cousins. !He is named as Elies Bou i Garriga in a publication from Spain. It also says that he arrived in Puerto Rico in 1862, with his uncle, Francesc Bou i Arnillas, to go to work for his uncle. He was established in Barros by the end of 1863, and dedicated himself to business until his death (in 1890). Temple on 26 May, 2003 by youth and adults from the Denbigh Ward on a youth temple trip. He was 59 years old at the time of his death. He was buried in Barros, Puerto Rico. His parents are recorded as Elias Bou y Prats, and Rosa Garriga y Montarell (deceased). Cause of death was progressive hemiplegia (paralysis). He was from Lloret de Mar, Provincia de Gerona, Spain. His wife is recorded as Maria Bou y Arroyo, of Barros, and they had 12 children named as follows: Francisco, Delores, Elias (dead), Arturo, Shico (dead), Alfredo (dead), Rosa (dead), Salvador, Cristina, Jose, Rafael, and Maria Amparo.
