Y.; married in Dec. 1749 in Wethersfield, Hannah Woodhouse, daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Woodhouse, born 5 June 1721; died 25 May 1812 [citing Shaker Death Rolls.] in New Lebanon.
Eleazur Deming sold his land in Wethersfield in 1764, and moved to New Lebanon, Mass., where he was living in 1768, at which time he deeds to Wm. Woodhouse land in Wethersfield adjoining the estate of his brother Elias, deceased. July 8th, 1777 he enlisted as a private under Capt. Job Woodbridge in a company which marched from Stockbridge, Mass., to Ticonderoga at the time of the evacuation of that fort by the British Troops. He also served under Capt. Silas Goodrich in Col. John Ashley's Reg. at the Battle of Bennington. In his later years he was called Captain. He joined the Shaker Community of New Lebanon, New York, with his wife and children, and the subsequent record of his descendants is difficult to trace."
