George Wallis, Mr., Portsmouth, ‘gent.’ in 1656 when he bot from Samuel Bennett of Rumney Marsh his dwg. ho. called Rumly Hall which he conv. back to B. aft. litigation. Sometime of Newfoundland, he bot at Little Harbor from James Johnson in 1660, in div. of 1661 he and Johnson together had 112 a. Gr.j. 1669, 1672,1684. Bail for Walter Randall 1677. Ag. ± 60 in 1679. Lists 311b, 312eh, 313a, 323, 326bc, 330ab, 331ab, 49, 52, 55b. He d. 14 Dec. 1685; adm. 2 Jan. fol. to wid. Eleanor, her bondsm. Robert Elliot. Settlement was made on s. George, evid. the second s., with consent of wid. and other ch: William. Honor, may have m. James Allard (2). Caleb. Daughter, w. of Walter Randall (17); one Margaret Woollis wit. with Elias Stileman in 1678. Daughter (Eleanor), w. of James Berry (5). In Greenland tax list, Dec. 1688, one line ‘James Allerd Widow Wallis.’ She was also taxed in July 1690. List 307h

George² Wallis (Ralph¹) was born in England about 1620 (age at immigration) and died in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 14 Dec 1685. He married by say 1645 (estimating marriage at 25) Eleanor if she was the mother of his children. He immigrated in 1635, age 15 on the Abigail with Ralph Wallis, presumed to be his father. Eleanor born England say 1625 (estimating five years younger than her husband) and died after 2 Jan 1686 (admin husband's estate) See Hotten 92;
