"Services for Peggy Traylor Webb, 77, longtime Dimmitt resident, were held Wednesday morning at the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt with Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor, and Rev. Vernon O'Kelly, former pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Castro Memorial Gardens under the direction Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mrs. Webb died at 7:45 p.m. Monday at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born sept. 14, 1919, in Daingerfield. She lived in Dallas before moving to Dimmitt in 1947. She graduated from Waco High School in 1936 and attended Baylor University in Waco. She married Millard Allan Webb on June 8, 1946 in Dallas. She was a member of the First United Methodish Church, where she taught Sunday School class. She was active in the Republican Women's Organization and Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kristi Edwards of Lubbock and A'llan Bradley of Dimmitt; a son John Webb of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren. Pallbears were Robert McLeank, Charles McLean, Bruce Fuller, Jim Bradford, Jack Bradford and Truman Touchstone. The family requests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 110 SW Third St., Dimmitt 79027; or the Ettie McDermitt Scholarship Fund, 310 W. Halsell, Dimmitt 79027.
