    3. ELEANOR2 HARBISON (JOHN1) was born Abt. 1768 in VA. She married JOHN BUTLER June 06, 1785 in Lincoln Co., KY. Information on the children of Eleanor Harbison and John Butler was provided to me in Feb 1999 by Ruth Harbison whose sources were Helen Baldwin, Suehanna Richmond Lucas, and KENTUCKY
    BIOGRAPHIES
    (online.) Helen Baldwin indicated that John Butler had some Indian ancestry.

    After his marriage, John Butler moved to Adair Co., KY (then part of Green Co.); developed a farm from wild land and lived there until his death. During the War of 1812, John Butler was Captain of a band of scouts on the frontier and he commanded a company in the militia.

Adair Co., KY - 7 Apr 1871, Adair Co.) who m. 5 Oct 1864, Myra S. Smith. They had children Nathan C, and William R. Butler. Nathan G. 2m.
    Susan Conover; they had Mary Tildon Butler. Nathan G, Butler fought with the Union forces during the Civil War.
