Note of Caution

There are many questions surrounding the parents of Eleanor Hall. DAR applications state conflicting information. Some list her parents as James Hall and Mary Johnson while others list them as Thomas Hall and Elizabeth Williamson. Her obituary stated that she was born in Warren County, Ohio and since that is a known residence of Thomas Hall and no reference has been found for James Hall residing there, it is more likely that her father was Thomas Hall. Additional proof would be most welcome.
