OBIT: Elbert Dickens, 50 years old, died Thursday at the Union Hospital following an operation. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Maud Dickens; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Newman, Mrs. Anna Skidmore, and Miss Ella Belle Dickens; two sons, Emmett and Frank; four grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Fletcher's Chapel, with burial in the Fletcher cemetery.
