Elbert Gibson Allee Sr. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. at Lexington Extended Care.

Born in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the late Albert J. and Ruth Tullis Allee. He was a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1933, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired as director of manufacturing with Milliken Co. and was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Quinn Allee; a son, Elbert Gibson Allee Jr. of Manchester, Tenn.; a stepson, Jim Kirby of West Columbia; a stepdaughter, Gay Gingrich of Valle Crucis, N.C.; a sister, Jane Rice of Greenville, S.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Chapin United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall, following the burial in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Chapin United Methodist Church Building Fund.
