Eileen E. Donovan

Services for Eileen E. Donovan, 62, of 1690 Alpha Ave. will be at 10:30 am Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Garryowen, rural Bernard, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm today at Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where the scripture wake service will be said at 8 pm.

Mrs. Donovan was a licensed practical nurse at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque, until her retirement in 1984.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1929, in N. Garryowen, daughter of John and Teresa (Noonan) Redmond. She died at 5:45 pm Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1991, at home.

She married Bill Donovan on Aug. 9, 1949, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, N. Garryowen; he survives.

She graduated from St. Patrick's High School, N. Garryowen, and was a member of Nativity Catholic Church.

Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Steinert of Port Washington, Wis., Mrs. Galen (Ruth) Manternach of Dubuque, Rita Donovan of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Mrs. Patrick (Mary Kay) Munro of Des Moines; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. William (Mary Claire) Noonan of Bernard, Kay Fox, Mrs. William (Grace) Delaney, Janaan Redmond and Mary Redmond, all of Dubuque, and a brother, Allan Redmond of Marion, Iowa.

An Eileen E. Donovan Memorial Fund has been established.
