From the November 27, 1946, edition of the Postville (IA) Herald Mrs. Donald Willard Passes On Saturday; Funeral Here Today Mrs. Donald E. Willard, 27, passed away at Morningside Sanitarium in Madison, Wis., Saturday shortly before midnight. She had been a patient there since a year ago when she and her husband returned to Wisconsin from the west coast. Solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated this morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Bridget's Catholic church in this city, by the Rev. Francis J. Vallaster, assisted by the Rev. Vernon Peters of McGregor and the Rev. Mersberger of Madison, Wis., who will also deliver the sermon. Interment will be at Calvary cemetery in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Mrs. Willard was born May 25, 1919, as Eileen Kozelka, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kozelka of Postville. Eileen graduated from Postville high school with the class of 1936, and then was employed by Hall Roberts' Son for the next eight years. She was united in marriage with Donald E. Willard of Bagley, Wis., October 7, 1944, at Old St Mary's Catholic church in San Francisco, Calif., while Mr. Willard was stationed there in the U.S. Coast Guard. She is survived by her parents, one brother, Edward W. Kozelka of Postville, and one niece, Gail Kozelka of this city, as well as her grandmother, Mrs. Thomas Kozelka of Prairie du Chien, Wis. |
