Attested between 1236 and 1259. One of his daugthers married Ritter Konrad Judemann of Zürich. Another daughter, Adelheid (mentioned 1259) married Beringer von Landenberg. His son Egolf married Hellwig, daughter of Konrad von Tengen. Von Hasli, later von Hasli-Freienstein, were a minor noble family of the 12th to 13th century, presumably based at a castle near Niederhasli. From 1254 they held the castle at Freienstein and fiefs in Rorbas. An Egolf von Hasli is attested in 1102, a later Egolf in 1152, both acting as witnesses for members of the Zähringen family. Yet another Egolf is attested between 1188 and 1219, and a fourth one (subject of this page) between 1236 and 1259. The lineage of Hasli-Freienstein is extinct in the 14th century, with Heinrich II. und Heinzeli (1325), sons of Heinrich I. (attested 1282-1328). References
