Named at birth. Born to a farmer in Navarro Co. Reporting birth: T.S. Slater. In the Navarro 1920 census she is 9 yrs.

- Obit** Funeral services were held Saturday for Effie Lee Hogan, 76, who died March 19, 1987 in Olney Hamilton Hosp. Services were held at Jean Baptist Church with Johnn Barrett officiating. Burial followed at Loving Cemetery. Mrs. Hogan was born January 8, 1911 in Navarro Co,. Tx. In 1941 she married J.E. "Snooks" Hogan. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of Jean; son, Bobby Jack Hogan of Jean; two dau, Charlene Nunley and Wanda Baxter, both of Dallas; two brothers, Carl Cole of Graham and Virgle Cole of Tyler; three sisters, May Fair of Azle, Florence Tate of Graham and Jean Laminack of Indianapolis, Ind; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
