Edythe J. Giolitto, 86, a resident of Green Valley for around 30 years, and formerly from Berwyn, Ill., and Tucson, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004. She was born on Aug. 7, 1918.

Devoted mother to Edythe (David) Abelman of Suffern, N.Y. and Thomas Kresler of Dallas, Texas. She also is survived by husband Peter Giolitto of Green Valley, and his sons Peter F. (Barbara) Giolitto, and Robert (Pamela) Giolitto, all of Rockford, Ill. She also is survived by grandchildren Christine, Catherine, Keri and Tisha, and step-grandchildren Angela and Ryan Giolitto, and four great-grandchildren. Edythe and Peter traveled extensively, taking 22 cruises around the world.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted W. Kresler, and twin sister, Blanche Anderson.

Private services have been held.
