Edwin worked at the Peter Stuyvesant Hotel in New York, and owned a string of tugboats. In 1939 or 1940, Doris Claff Hopengarten went to the hotel to visit him (in Brooklyn), but when he didn't answer his ring, they went up to his room and found him dead, sitting in a chair. According to Barbara Eppy, the name was Edward Bliss Shoule, and she visited them in Boston in the early 1940s. |
