Obituary

Edwin H. Payne, age 88, resident of 149 Mansfield Ave., Shelby died Thursday morning, June 6, 1996 at his home. Born February 13, 1908 to George & Lillian (Roth) Payne he had been a lifelong Shelby resident. Mr. Payne was employed as a plumber with Roth Plumbing retiring in 1973 and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Corrine (Crum) Payne, whom he wed April 15, 1944; one son, Edwin Van Payne of Shelby; two brothers and sisters-in-law; G. Herbert & Ann Payne of Shelby; John A. Payne of Huron and Phyllis Payne of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
