Took up farming. Entered hotel business and moved to Flin Flon, MB in 1953. Moved to Gladstone MB in 1954 then back to Bowsman in 1957 and to Killarney in 1961. After leaving hotel business moved to The Pas in 1964. Worked with Transprt Canada and later the Dept. of Highways until he retired in 1980.

Hobbies included hunting, fishing and photography. Earlier he also enjoyed curling.

Member of Royal Legion, Manitoba Game and Fish Wildlife Asso.
