Edward lived in French Gulch in 1936 when his mother died. He probably lived there for many years before this.

A Feeny researcher sent this information: Mary Feeny Wolf's father died in 1899 and his mother remarried sooon after. When this happened Edward and Mary became the head proprietors of the French Gulch hotel. It is not known how long Edward and Mary ran the hotel but when they left, Mary's youngest sister, Arleta Woll, took control. The hotel remained inthe family until 1947 when Arleta sold it to Mr. and Mrs. Michael McCarthy.
