    Aug. 29, 1761 Capt. Edward Wilcox was admin. of estate of Samuel & Mary Gavitt & was appointed guardian of Hannah, Eunice & Vashti Gavitt and was named grandfather by Samuel Gavitt Jr. who chose him to be his guardian. He was named father & was a party in the litigation in the execution of the will of Susanna's first husband, Oliver Burdick. [Mayflower Families, Vol. 3, p 87, 88]
