Edward B. Wanamaker, 53, of 53 Franklin St., Emerald, died Sunday in his home. Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Dr. George W. Heintzelman attributed death to natural causes. He was the husband of Mildred L. (Phillips) Wanamaker. Wanamaker was a painter for Richard Wieder, Emmaus. Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Aaron and Annie (Faust) Wanamaker. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Emerald, where he served as sexton for the past 14 years. Wanamaker was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Sheila A., wife of David German, at home; three sons, Edward G. and Douglas T., both of Emerald; and Scott P., at home; four sisters, Alberta, wife of Stewart Walters, and June, wife of Warren Henritzy, both of Slatington R. 2; Mrs. Ethel Housman, of Slatington; and Fern, wife of Allen Reitz, of Northampton R. 1; four brothers, Alton of Emerald, Delbert of Germansville, Lamark of Northampton R. 1, and Paul of Slatington R. 1; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Richard A. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 54 Summit Road, schnecksville. A calling hour will precede the service.
