OBITUARY 

    Edward K. Straight, 85, husband of the late Sarah(Thompson)Straight, died

on Sunday morning at the Oswego Hospital. 

    Born in Slaterville Springs, he was the son of the late Harrry and Cora(Bell)

Straight. He had resided in the Oswego area for most of his adult life. 

    Mr. Straight was a veteran of World War II, serving with the infantry. He

spent 17 years with the Army and an additional 17 years with the National Guard. 

    Mr. Straight was employed as a shipping clerk with Hammermill Paper Co.,

retiring in 1973. 

    He is survived by three sons, Edward, Howard and Harry Straight, all of

Oswego; two daughters, Sally Straight of Oswego and Mrs. Edward(Betty) Drew of Bradenton, Fla; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

    Funeral services will be held at 8:30a.m. Wednesday at the Dowdle Funeral

Home and at 9 a.m. from St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. 

    Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the

funeral home.
