This birthdate is questionable because Edward is shown as the youngest son of Thomas and Rosamond in Sir John's will dated 1595 -- unless the birth order in Sir John's will is reversed. In that case, Edward would be the oldest. The source for this information is ambiguous. Webber refers to Edward as the seventh son with five younger brothers.
