    Eddie E. Sapp, 68, of 1929 Albia Road, died Friday at 8:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of two years. He worked for John Morrell and Co. and later was a self-employed trucker.

    He was born Feb. 18, 1903, at Unionville, the son of George and Carrie Mower Sapp. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

    He was first married to Helen LaMar, who preceded him in death. On July 20, 1957, he married Leona Surber, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Dorothy, Carrie, Jane, and Helen; and three sons, Eddie Jr., George and Roy Sapp, all at home; and one brother Harold Sapp of Ottumwa. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

    The service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial rites in Shaul Cemetery will be conducted by the American Legion.
