22 Jun 1916 G. S. Porter and wife of Kendrick, Idaho came with his uncle, E. W. and are guests at the parental home of E. B. Porter home. It is four years since Glenn left and his many friends are glad to see him. E. W. Porter, wife and son Marion, arrived from Juliaetta, Idaho and are guests at the home of Mr. Porter's brother, E. B. Mr. Porter is an old timer, coming here in the 80's while Washington was still a territory, and was the first clerk of Douglas county after the state was admitted to the union. He was also the chief clerk in the U. S. land office in Waterville, bringing the records over from the Ellensburg land office. All the old-timers are glad to see him. [Douglas Co. Press]

16 Jun 1927 Dr. Claude A. Porter and family of Port Angeles, spent Friday with his Uncle E. B. Porter. Dr. Porter has been attending the Odd Fellows' grand lodge in Yakima.
