Edward McBRIDE was the first child of Clarence and Clara Theus McBride. Nothing is known about him: he was either a still birth or lived only a short time. Rock Island County has no record of his birth or death. I learned of his existence around 1947 when I cleaned out the garage of our house on 42nd Ave. in Rock Island, and found a framed memorial with his name on it. He was not mentioned in family conversation.
