We do not know if Edward and Maria had any children of their own. We do know that they adopted Ella Kilner. The will of Maria mentions that everything should go to her Husband and then to her son, Charles Lauchner. They only Charles that we know of is my grandfather, Charles [O'Bannon] Lauchner. I assume here that the Lauchner's considered all of Ella's children their children. No legal adoption of any child is known at this time. The following is a list of Ella's Children, which Edward and Maria Lauchner consider to be their children. The name Lauchner can also be found in documents as: Laughner, Laughnor, Lauchnor. (Confused Yet, I am!) We have just uncovered that Ella moved to NY where her husband Peter Finkler worked on the railroads and where he died in 1904. She was present in the 1905 census there, in Buffalo, NY.
