"Edward Jenkins born about 1738, died October 28, 1803; was known as Edward Jenkins, Senior, of Charles County. He married Sarah Middleton born about 1732; died October 16, 1797; daughter of James and Sarah (Smith) Middleton; he was the son of Robert and Mary (Wheeler) Middleton of Charles County, and she was the daughter of John Smith. Sarah Middleton's sister, Ann, married Thomas Jenkins (95)."

"Edward Jenkins born 1728 in Maryland, died 28 Oct 1803 in Bryantown, Charles County, MD. He married 1750, in Lower Zachia Church, Bryantown, to Sarah Middleton, daughter of James Middleton, of the second generation of Middletons. Sarah Middleton was the sister of James Middleton, who
married her husband's sister, Mary Ann Jenkins. In other words, a brother and sister of one family married a sister and brother of the other family."
