Sir Edward Gostwick, 2nd Baronet was born in 1588. He was the son of Sir William Gostwick, 1st Baronet, and Jane Owen. He married Anne Wentworth, daughter of John Wentworth and Cicely Unton, on 2 April 1608 at Gosfield, Essex, England, in a clandestine marriage. He died on 20 September 1630. He was buried at Willington, Bedfordshire, England.

Sir Edward Gostwick, 2nd Bt. was invested as a Knight on 3 May 1607 at Whitehall, London, England.[1] He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Gostwick, of Willington, co. Bedford on 19 September 1615. He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1626/27.
