Ed and his family operated the Maple Grove Dairy Farm for several years and delivered milk. He also was employed by Sandy Creek Coal Company and Sterling faucet. He was well-known as a local Little League and Pony League baseball coach and served in that capacity for 45 years. He was an active member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church where he was an usher.
