Blaney, Edward, was in 1621, keeper of the "Colony Magazine," and in the same year was appointed factor and agent for the company organized to carry on a glass house, and was authorized to trade with the Indians. Blaney was a member of the house of burgesses in 1623, and was appointed to the council on March 4, 1626. He married the widow of William Powell, captain of Jamestown fort.
