    MIGRATION: 1630
    FIRST RESIDENCE: Boston
    RETURN TRIPS: Probably made several trips to England as a merchant. Certainly in England on 25 April 1646 [WP 5:79], and it may be on this trip that he married his third wife, a London widow. Returned permanently to London 1654 [BChR 55].
    OCCUPATION: Merchant [see Lechford and Aspinwall passim]; also ferryman and lighterman (18 December 1637, "Edward Bendall shall keep a sufficient ferry boat to carry to Noddle's Island and to the ships riding before the town" [BTR 1:22, see also MBCR 1:165, 181 and Lechford 228]).
    BIRTH: Baptized Kersey, Suffolk, 18 October 1607, son of Edward Bendall.
    DEATH: Probably in London, after March 1657 [BTR 1:136] and prior to 26 January 1660[/1], when "Jane Bendall late wife of Edward Bendall deceased" made Samuel Scarlett her attorney to settle her husband's affairs in New England [SLR 4:88].
