JoAnne Echelbarger Homemaker/avid bridge player

JoAnne Echelbarger, 70, of Westhaven Drive, Fostoria, died in the Medic al College of OH Hospital, Toledo, at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998.

She was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Fostoria, to W.A Pat and Cecyle (Hise r) O'Brien. Her husband, Fred R Echelbarger, whom she married Aug. 18, 194 6, in Fostoria, survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Echelbarger of West Millgrove a nd Patrick Echelbarger of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a daughter, Kristy Echelbarg er of Findlay; a sister, Janet Jones of Toledo; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Echelbarger, a homemaker, was a member of the Fostoria Country Club a nd had served as a former Girl Scout leader.

An avid bridge player, playing in several area bridge clubs, she loved gar dening.

She was a 1945 graduate of Fostoria High School and had attended Bowling G reen State University.

The Rev. Branson J Hawkes will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday s ervice in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment wi ll be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
