Edna Jane (Loughner) Monstrola, 70, of Irwin, died Saturday March 23, 2024, at home with her family. She was born June 14, 1953, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Adam Grant and Ruth (Drylie) Loughner and was also preceded in death by her sisters Cathy Anne Leasure and Helen Louise Wertz.

She had many things to be proud of, but being a Mother, Grandmother, and Great grandmother was her greatest accomplishments. She lived with a positive outlook and could always find the rainbows in the worst storms.

Jane had a smile everyone knew and loved. She could fill a room with laughter and life. She loved being with her besties, gossiping, and having a good time. Her hobbies were knitting, puzzles and watching the Big Bang Theory. She made the best ham loaf. Jane's decorations at Christmas brought the spirit of Christmas to her living room!

Jane was part of the Norwin Drill Team and was a bus driver for Norwin School District. She worked at Horne's Dept. Store at Greengate Mall then Lazarus in Monroeville when the mall closed. She also worked at Vargo's Hallmark Store in North Huntingdon. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Irwin Chapter 400.

She is survived by her husband Craig T. Monstrola; her children Megan Remaley (James) and Justin Monstrola (Crystal Urban) both of Irwin; her grandchildren Madison Foltz (Ryan Abbott), Vanesah Roberts (Jake), Brody Monstrola, and William Remaley; she was the Great Grandmother (Memaw) to Lillian, Louis, and Julia; a sister Ruth Lynne Zona (Henry) of Alabama; also, many nieces and nephews and her beloved, spoiled dog, Cooper.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Private interment will be in Union Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Shriners Hospital. For online condolences please visit www.snyderfuneralservices.com.
