MCLEANSVILLE Mrs.. Edna Hamby SHOFFNER, 61. of Rt. 2, McLeansville, died Tuesday in a Greensboro hospital. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Kitty Ann Scarborough Hamby, and the wife of RICHARD SHOFFNER, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Mrs.. Shelby Jean McClean and Mrs.. Bernice Burrough, both of Rt. 2, McLeansville; son. J. R. SHOFFNER Jr... Rt. 2, McLeansville; sisters, Mrs.. Mary Dodson and Mrs.. Alma Shore, both of Haw River, Mrs.. Teiza Pendergraph, Mrs.. Allene Apple, Greensboro: brothers, Height Hamby, Whitsett, Clayton Hamby, Mebane, Fred Hamby, Graham; and seven grandchildren. Final rites will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Mount Hope United Church of Christ. The Rev. Raymond Craven and the Rev. Josh Levens will of- ficiate. Burial will be in the church cemeterv. The body will remain at the Greeson Neese Funeral Home on Rt. 1, Julian, until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The fami- ly will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the building fund of Mount Hope United Church of Christ.
