Edmund Sheafe (Thomas, Thomas, Richard, Thomas) was born at Welford, Berkshire, where his father was Rector. Alto there is no record of his baptism there, we have his own statement of that fact from his will. He was probably born about 1600 to 1615. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Sampson and Elizabeth (Juxton) Cotton of Saint Michael Pater Noster in the Royal, London. He was a citizen and mercer of London. He died 1647-9.
