About Edmund Lyle Davis

Edmund Lyle Davis was born 20 January 1930 in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas, the son of Edmund Dillon Davis (1892-1950) and his wife Mary Elizabeth Hamilton (1902-2001), the daughter of Peter Theodore Hamilton (1864-1952) and Ella Louise Garthwaite (1867-1946).

On 27 May 1950, Edmund was married in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas to Beverley Swinger, daughter of Adrian Ivanhoe Swinger (1912-1987) and his wife Vada Louise Bowers (1913-2008). Edmund and Beverley had four children together. In the 1953 Wichita, Kansas City Directory, Edmund was listed as a salesman. They were living at 1915 South Waco Avenue at the time.

Edmund and Beverley [Swinger] Davis divorced in July 1966, and he re-married in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California on 12 August 1967 to Pirkko Liisa Hamalainen. [Source: California, Marriage Index, 1960-1985].
