Edith Crumrine Mitchell, 94, passed away Thursday January 24, 2013 at Donaldson Care Center. She and her husband Robert E. Crumrine owned and operated R.E. Crumrine Grocery at Hazel Green, Alabama for many years. She was a resident of Madison County since 1946. She was a member of the Church of Christ faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Crumrine and her late husband J.B. Mitchell. Her parents Aubrey E. (Dick) Shelton and Lillian Sullivan Shelton. Brothers Cleveland Shelton, Bill Shelton and Levoid Shelton. Sisters Nell Shelton and Janie Shelton West. She is survived by son Joe D. Brown (Joyce), daughters Bobbie Crumrine Ikard (Wayne), Ann Crumrine Bankston (Bob), Margie Mitchell Dorning (Wallace); Sister Mable Shelton Woodward. Grandchildren Jeff Brown (Wendy), Lisa Brown Edwards (Mark), Angela D. Seymour, Brad Bankston (Christine), Blake Dorning (Jan), Mitchell Dorning, Cindy Dorning Shields (Kevin) and 14 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 from noon until 2:00pm followed by at 2:00pm chapel service at Berryhill Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Rosenblum officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Cemetery at Hazel Green, Alabama.
