Remembered by Edgar McClellan about his mother: "My mother was midwife to Fred Wentzell's first child when he lvied over the old post office." "Roddy and Edith first lived in a house on the corner of Main and Franklin Streets, later replaced by a laundromat and car wash. After they built their Phillips Street home, the house fell into disrepair. An artist came along and, setting up an easel, began to sketch. Local character Leonard Storey stopped to ask him what he was doing. The man said "Painting the house". Leonard replied, "It's needed it for years."
