Edith Lorraine Peterson was the daughter of Harod and Eva LeFeber Peterson. She married Frank H. Nauta on June 17, 1938. She had two children, Judith Diane, b.1939, and Linda Mary, b.1944. She resided in New York, New Jersey, and Indianapolis. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church.
