C., 1724; stud, theol.; was called June 29, 1731 to the ch. in Eastbury, (then just set off from Glast.), promptly declined and on 28th of next mo. was almost unanimously called to Stamford, Ct., where he was ord. 7 May, 1732, and served until his dth., 5 May, 1746 in 40th yr. of his age. He was said to have been a powerful preacher. His est. was val. at £2055, Old Tenor."
